Important Notice about Fuel Surcharge

• There is a lag between the fuel price index and the fuel surcharge. For the week of June 24, 2024 - June 30, 2024, FedEx will have an additional 2-week lag between fuel prices and the fuel surcharge. FedEx may use a longer lag when the fuel price posted on eia.gov is delayed. 
• There is a lag between the fuel price index and the fuel surcharge. For the week of June 17, 2024 - June 23, 2024, FedEx will have an additional 1-week lag between fuel prices and the fuel surcharge. FedEx may use a longer lag when the fuel price posted on eia.gov is delayed.

Historical lag between the fuel price index and the fuel surcharge

There is a lag between the fuel price index and the fuel surcharge. For the week of November 13, 2023 - November 19, 2023, FedEx Express will have an additional 1-week lag between fuel prices and the fuel surcharge. This means that the November 6, 2023 – November 12, 2023, fuel surcharge percentage will also apply during the week of November 13, 2023 - November 19, 2023. FedEx may use a longer lag when the fuel price posted on eia.gov is delayed.
