Nickname and Security Options

For enhanced security of your account number, FedEx provides the following account number features on fedex.com:

  • Your account number is not displayed in full on our shipping solutions, instead, an account nickname displays. You can change the nickname to something that you can easily remember.
  • To prevent other individuals from signing up on your account on fedex.com, you can select the option to prevent other users from signing up on your account number.

NOTE: If your account number is registered for Shipping Administration on fedex.com, your account number is already set to prevent other users from signing up on it.

FedEx Online Solutions

When you registered on fedex.com, your account number may have not been enabled for all of our online solutions. To enable your account number for a specific solution, select the one you want to enable and click on "Save".

NOTE: Some FedEx online solutions may not be available in all countries.

Freight LTL Alias Options

If your account number has been enabled to ship FedEx Freight LTL, you may have setup some account aliases with your account number. You can manage which aliases you want to see on the shipping screen when creating a Bill of Lading shipment tied to a specific account number.

Shipping Address

You can change the contact name, mailing address, and phone number of your FedEx shipping account number. By default, this is the contact and address information that a FedEx courier will use if you have requested a shipment pickup.

Credit Card Information/Invoice Billing Address

To update the credit card information associated to your account number, you will need to enter all of the information, including your billing address, for the new credit card. Be sure to have your card in front of you, as you will need to enter the credit card security code. The credit card security code is a three digit number located on the back of most credit cards. On American Express cards, the security code is a four digit number printed on the front of the card.

NOTE: Information entered is secure and utilizes 128-bit secure encryption.

If your account number is not associated with a credit card, you can update the invoice billing address information that receives your shipment invoices.
