Create online labels for all your freight shipments
Any shipment over 150 lbs. is considered freight and FedEx offers freight shipping online with FedEx air freight and less-than-truckload (LTL) freight options.
LTL freight shipping
For your domestic LTL freight shipments, you can create a freight bill-of-lading shipping label online, just like you would for a typical FedEx® package or envelope. Electronic Bill of Lading for LTL freight shipments can add convenience, help minimize errors and allow you to instantly track your shipment.
Air freight shipping
Ideal for your more time-sensitive freight shipments, FedEx air freight services offer time-definite delivery of palletized freight. Air freight offers 1, 2 or 3 business days to most U.S. locations by 10:30 a.m., noon or 3 p.m. Air freight also offers international shipping to up to 130 countries and territories.

Using the tool
To get started, you must have:
- A FedEx account number
a. If you have a FedEx account number, just register for FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com and begin shipping.
b. If you need a FedEx account number, create an account on fedex.com, and receive it immediately. Then sign up for FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com and begin shipping.
c. To register for the Shipping Administration feature of FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com, contact your FedEx account executive. - An SSL browser, such as Netscape® Navigator 4.06 or higher, or Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.x or higher
- An inkjet or laser printer
You can access the tool by clicking "Create a Shipment" under the "Shipping" menu at the top of any fedex.com page or by clicking the "Ship Now" button at the top of this page and entering your login.
You can manage the entire shipping process, this includes:
- Getting rates and transit times
- Creating shipping labels for your single or multi-piece shipments
- Creating and submitting your customs documentation electronically (FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents)*
- Scheduling pickups
- Setting up tracking notifications for recipients

Services and features
You can create international import or export shipments, and domestic shipments. That includes anything from packages to air freight shipments.
LTL freight shipping is currently unavailable in the current FedEx Ship Manager application, but can still be done through the legacy FedEx Ship Manager application. If you are in the current FedEx Ship Manager application and need to return to the legacy version, go to the top right menu and click on "views" and then click on "switch to previous version" to go to the legacy application.

Yes, you can set up shipment profiles.
Shipment profiles are handy if you send the same type of shipments regularly. This is because all the information is prefilled – so you don’t need to enter the details each time you ship. Please see the User Guide.
Yes, you can upload it using a CSV format.
- If it’s the first time you’re using the current FedEx Ship Manager application, you can upload your address book by selecting ‘Address Book’ from the ‘Account’ menu
- If you’re using the legacy FedEx Ship Manager application, your address book will be synced so there’s no need to upload

General questions
Yes, the legacy FedEx Ship Manager application is currently still available for those features that may not yet be available in the current shipping tool. When using the current application, go to the top right menu and click on "views" and then click on "switch to previous version" to go to the legacy application.
No, any shipments created using the legacy and the current FedEx Ship Manager will be viewable in your shipping history.
When using FedEx Ship Manager, go to the top right-hand of your screen, click on the options menu, and you'll see the compact and comfortable view options.

The compact view is usually used by more experienced users and offers a more condensed shipping experience that gives an at-a-glance view into the entire process.
Comfortable view for FedEx Ship Manager
The comfortable view offers a step-by-step process for filling out the shipping details and might be preferred by customers who are newer to the shipping application.
This feature is not available in the current FedEx Ship manager application, but you can ship without an account with the FedEx Ship Manager Lite application.
This shipping tool is compatible with all modern internet browsers. However, for Internet Explorer specifically, we do not support IE10 or lower versions.
Yes, shipments created with FedEx Ship Manager will also appear in other FedEx tools such as FedEx Reporting and FedEx Billing Online (provided you’ve already registered).
