All testing conducted at our lab is exclusively for FedEx customers. While most of our customers' packaging issues can be resolved through complimentary testing, we also offer advanced, bulk, and expedited testing to meet specific needs. We charge a nominal fee for these additional services.

Our customers, team and communities are the heart of our business, and keeping them safe has always been our top priority. We’re keeping a close eye on events related to the COVID-19 crisis as they continue to evolve across the globe and following the recommendations of the CDC, WHO and other leading health organizations.

Here are some of the actions we’re taking: 

  • Temporarily suspending signature requirements for most deliveries in the U.S.
    • Except for shipments with adult signature required, signature not required for:
      • FedEx Express (U.S. and Canada)
      • FedEx Ground (U.S. and Canada)
      • FedEx Freight (U.S.)
      • FedEx Office in-store (U.S.)
      • FedEx SameDay City (U.S.)
      • FedEx Onsite Retail Locations (U.S.)
  • Continuing to receive notification on when to expect deliveries to your home, request delivery to an alternate location, leave detailed delivery instructions for  your FedEx driver, or place a temporary delivery hold on your deliveries for up to 14 days with FedEx Delivery Manager
  • Protecting team members from exposure to COVID-19 including enhanced cleaning and following all guidelines from the CDC and WHO
  • Protecting our customers and communities by extending our safety precautions to the point of delivery
  • Constantly monitoring COVID-19 developments and changes to regulations, activating plans that put safety first and keeping our network and operating companies delivering for you
