On the shipping options page, the choices range from premium overnight shipping to cheaper ground shipping, which provides delivery within 3 to 7 days. Click the down arrow to the right of the orange price box to see a breakdown of the cost, including applicable surcharges and fees.

If you’re shipping a FedEx box that weighs less than 50 lbs. or a FedEx envelope that weighs less than 10 lbs., you’ll see a tab at the top of the rates section called FedEx One Rate. FedEx One Rate is a predictable, flat-rate shipping option that can potentially be more affordable than the retail rates.

Shipping estimates

Why does my price say “estimated”?

Our online shipping rates calculator estimates shipping cost based on the information you input, like how much the package weighs, its dimensions, the currency conversion rate (if you’re shipping internationally), and other factors. Your charges could be different from the estimate if any of these factors change. 

Why was my final shipment price more than originally quoted? 

Charges at the time of shipment might be different than those estimated if the package weight, dimensions, origin, destination, currency conversion rate, or other factors change between the time a customer receives an estimate and the time they actually ship the package. Be sure you enter the correct information into the online shipping rates calculator. If you’re not sure of the weight or dimensions, consider buying a small scale and measuring your shipments with a tape measure or ruler. You can download a measuring app onto your smartphone if needed. Doing these things should help you enter more accurate information into the calculator for better estimates in the future.

We base your rate on factors like how far your package has to travel (using ZIP codes or postal codes, depending on international destinations/origins), how quickly you need it to arrive, how big it is, how much it weighs, and whether or not you choose shipping insurance. Why do rates change?

Online shipping estimates can be affected by many different factors. Changes in fuel costs, delivery and pickup conditions, special handling requirements, holiday package volumes, and special circumstances that affect network capacity (like COVID-19) can cause prices to fluctuate. And keep in mind, the prices generated by our calculators are just estimates. They’re based on the variables you enter, like your package’s weight and your shipment’s origin and destination ZIP codes. If any of those factors change between the time you request your estimate and the time you ship your package, the actual price will be different from what was estimated. Packaging

Does the packaging I use affect my cost?

Yes. The size of the box should accommodate your items and enough cushioning or packaging material to protect it. But your box shouldn’t be bigger than it needs to be, since that can drive up the cost needlessly. 

Your shipping price is based on either the dimensional weight (dim weight) or actual package weight—whichever is greater. Will FedEx pick up my shipment?

How much does it cost to ship internationally?

International shipping is more complex than domestic. Shipping costs are based on the destination country, what you’re shipping, and how much the package weighs, among other factors. International fees, duties, and taxes might also cause your shipping costs to be higher.
