What is the High-value Jewelry Shipping Program?
The FedEx Declared Value Advantage service allows eligible shippers to declare values up to $100,000 per domestic shipment and up to $25,000 to select international destinations on specialty items like jewelry, watches, watch movements, and materials intended as components of jewelry, such as pearls, precious and semi-precious stones, jewels, gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals. This service is not intended to apply to shipments of items other than jewelry. Coins and gold bars are excluded.
To determine if you are eligible for this program, please complete the application below and a Declare Value Advantage Representative will contact you.
FedEx Declared Value Advantage is only available to eligible customers on a contractual basis for US business account holders shipping jewelry 2-3 times a week (personal accounts do not qualify). One-time jewelry or other high-value commodity shipping needs are not eligible for this service.
Packaging options for high-value jewelry
Special packaging is available to FedEx Declared Value Advantage customers for use with FedEx Express shipments. Contact your FedEx account executive for details.
FedEx Security Box Kits
- The corrugated retention insert will suspend the product inside a FedEx Medium Box (M2) or FedEx Large Box (L2)
- Provides extra protection from abrasions, indentations, punctures, and tears
- Packaging is available at no extra charge to FedEx Declared Value Advantage customers for use with FedEx Express® shipments

FedEx Box with Safe Insert
- Reinforced aluminum box comes in two sizes to fit securely inside the FedEx Medium Box (M1) and the FedEx Large Box (L1)
- Equipped with a combination lock or key lock (only shipper and recipient have access)
- Provides added safety, security, and strength for high-value items

FedEx Declared Value Advantage program participants can declare a value of up to USD$25,000 on international shipments. Shipments must originate in the U.S. The shipment destination can be anywhere in the U.S. plus these select international countries and territories:

If you need to ship jewelry for a one-time special occasion (ex: jewelry repair) or another non-jewelry commodity with a declared value in excess of $1,000, please contact your insurance provider.
