6 tips to help you prep for peak

Are you bracing for a surge in shipping volume as the holiday season approaches? We’ve got you covered! In this issue of FedEx ShipSource®, we’re providing you with the resources you need to succeed. Before peak season arrives, we wanted to make sure you knew about a few things.

  1. You can stock up today on all the FedEx® packaging you’ll surely need throughout peak season! Head over to our packing services and shipping supplies website to find everything you need.
  2. You’re responsible for providing tracking numbers in the event of a drop-off payout dispute, which you can submit on FASCnet.com. Just in case, keep records of drop-off packages throughout peak! And please note: For a claim to be accepted, you must have Ship Date, Service (FedEx Express or FedEx Ground) and Tracking Number in separate cells in the Excel spreadsheet. Check back on FASCnet.com for the status of submitted disputes: Go to My Info and click Payout to Date, then Payout Inquiry Form.
  3. Need to schedule later pickup times or extra daily pickups for peak? You can call FASC Program Support at 1.800.496.9310, opt. 3, and they’ll take care of it. If you want a more specific pickup time within your window, talk to your FedEx Express courier and FedEx Ground driver. They’re here to help, too!
  4. Now’s a great time to look for improvements and new revenue ideas before the rush! We recently created the free Quality Improvement Toolkit, which shares tools and strategies that FedEx uses to tackle business challenges. Access the toolkit by logging in to FASCnet.com and clicking on Marketing Toolbox, then Tools & Resources.
  5. Our Holiday Shipping for Business page has several resources that will come in handy during peak season, such as a printable Last Days to Ship calendar to post in your store, the most up-to-date details about peak surcharges, and a holiday shipping schedule to help you plan ahead for success. And check out the selection of seasonal posters, social media posts and more available in the Marketing Toolbox on FASCnet.com
  6. There are some items that you are prohibited from shipping, per government regulations and the FASC Agreement. Check out this article from the July FedEx ShipSource edition for a refresher.

For the full list of important peak season tasks and tips, we encourage you to take a look at our 2021 Peak Prep Checklist. This is a great resource to print out and save to your desktop so you have immediate access to it throughout the next couple of months. We’re so excited to continue serving our customers alongside your business this peak season.
