As a small business owner, you're a natural problem-solver. So sometimes you might prefer to skip the call to customer service and take care of administrative tasks yourself. Here are four to-dos you can tackle on your own time, whenever you're ready.

File a claim online

You can file claims for domestic shipments, U.S. imports, and U.S. exports. You'll need your:

  • Claim type
  • Tracking number
  • Ship date
  • Appropriate account number if you've registered it

To make the process easier—and faster—your information will be autopopulated in portions of the form. You can also request email updates about the status of your request.

Manage billing

Log in to the FedEx® Billing Online tool to easily:

  • Pay an invoice
  • Run customized reports you can print or download
  • Request an adjustment to an invoice
  • Get answers to common questions
  • Access user guides

Handle discrepancies in payouts

If you have a problem with a payout—it was incorrect, or you didn't receive it—you can let us know by completing a form online and uploading supporting information. There are time restrictions, though. So make sure you submit your request within three months after the close of the quarterly payout period for the payment you have an issue with.

Here's what you'll need to provide:

  • Shipment type
  • Date and time of the drop off
  • Tracking number

 


You'll also upload an electronic copy of the tracking numbers for all drop offs for the quarter. You must submit this information as a Microsoft Excel file.


 

Once we receive your submission, you'll get a confirmation email. If we need more information, we'll contact you within five business days. If your payout is approved, you should receive it within 15 business days.

Please note that if the legal tax name of your store and your Tax Identification Number (TIN) do not match exactly what's on file with the IRS, we cannot process your request.
