Taking time out of a busy day to file a claim for a damaged or lost package can feel like a hassle. If you used your FASC account to ship a customer’s package, the responsibility does fall to you.
Did you know you can forgo traditional (and more time-consuming) ways of submitting claims for FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground®, and FedEx Freight® shipments?1 With FedEx® Claims Online, you can log in, create a claim—or claims—and submit it. There’s no need to call customer service or send faxes, snail mail, or email.
Filing a claim online is easier, more convenient, and more accurate because you can:
Log in to your FedEx account to autopopulate claim information.
That means no more scrambling to find shipment details like tracking numbers. And typos and human errors are less of an issue. (You can also submit a claim without logging in to your FedEx account by using your tracking number—but your information won’t be autopopulated.)
Add supporting documents in a snap.
Step-by-step instructions help you upload documents needed to file the claim. You can drag and drop or use a browse feature to submit your supporting documents (e.g., photos, invoices, or appraisals). And you can do it when you open the claim or add them later when you’re ready. If there are any issues with the claim—like it’s a duplicate or the window to file it has closed2—you’ll be alerted so you can decide whether to continue the process or not.
Stay informed.
You can get updates about your claim’s status by entering your email address when you file the claim. Or go online and track its progress whenever you want. You won’t need to search through old emails or paperwork. And you can track multiple claims from different accounts (under one login) through a single dashboard.
Receive secure, faster payments.

2 Claims for damaged or missing contents must be filed no later than 60 calendar days from the shipment date for U.S. packages and 21 calendar days from the shipment date for international packages. Claims for undelivered or lost shipments must be filed within 9 months of the shipment date.
