Know exactly where your delivery is—and when it will arrive.

Wondering if you have time to run an errand? Just log in to FedEx Delivery Manager to watch your package’s movements in the dynamic map view. You can plan to be home for your delivery.



Receive picture proof of delivery or delivery attempt.

Get visual confirmation that your package was dropped off. Or see that we dropped by and tried to deliver it. Then, you can take the next steps to get your package.



Request to redirect a package for free when you won't be home.

Sometimes you need to redirect a package that’s already heading your way. With FedEx Delivery Manager, you can request to have it sent to one of thousands of retail pickup locations, including Walgreens, FedEx Office, and Dollar General, free of charge. Allow someone else to pick up a package for you.

After redirecting a package to a FedEx location, you can choose to show a QR code instead of using a government-issued ID when picking up your package. This means you can send that QR code to someone else who can pick up your package for you, making pickup faster and more convenient. (Not available for packages that require an adult signature.)



Sign for a package—even if you won’t be home to receive it.

Use your phone or computer to virtually sign for a package in advance, authorizing the driver to leave the shipment. (Not available for packages that require an adult or direct physical signature.) Read more about FedEx signature requirements.  



Save package delivery instructions for your driver.

Specify where you want packages delivered (at a side door, under an awning, or to your apartment office, for example). Or ask the driver not to ring your doorbell or knock on your door. Place a vacation hold on packages.

Act on a FedEx door tag.

If you received a door tag, it means we tried to deliver your package but couldn’t for some reason. You can use FedEx Delivery Manager to find out where your package is.   • Choose a time between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on your scheduled delivery day
    for $5.55 per package.
  • Choose a time within a 2-hour window up to 7 calendar days after the original
    delivery date for $11.50 per package.

What is FedEx Delivery Manager?

FedEx Delivery Manager allows you to customize your delivery preferences, manage delivery times and locations, and keep track of your FedEx deliveries. FedEx Delivery Manager is available via the web and with a mobile app for Android or iOS.

Can I use FedEx Delivery Manager for my business?

FedEx Delivery Manager supports packages that are delivered to residential addresses.

Signing up is free, as are the most frequently used options. A few of the delivery options are only available for a fee.

Accessing FedEx Delivery Manager and selecting options

Do I have to download the FedEx® Mobile app?

The FedEx Mobile app is a convenient way to manage deliveries, but it’s not required to get the full benefits of FedEx Delivery Manager. You can access the same options online.

How do I update my delivery address?

  • Login to fedex.com and click FedEx Delivery Manager in the left navigation pane.
  • Scroll down to the section labeled Delivery addresses for: [your name].
  • Click Add another delivery address.
  • Enter your new address and delete the old one.
  • Wait for the email or text code to verify your change.
  • Login to fedex.com and click FedEx Delivery Manager in the left navigation pane.
  • Scroll down to the section labeled Delivery addresses for: [your name].
  • Click Add another delivery address.

Rerouting shipments

Can I have my package delivered to a different address?

It’s easy to request that a package be held for pickup at a location near you. You can choose delivery to one of thousands of convenient locations like Walgreens, select Dollar General locations, select grocery stores, and FedEx Office locations.

Start by entering your tracking number and selecting Manage Delivery. If you make your request before midnight the day before your delivery is scheduled, your package will be available for pickup the next day. A secure FedEx location will hold your package for up to 7 days.

You can also choose a different residential destination for your package for an additional fee. Choose to receive updates via email, text, and/or phone.

Why was my package taken to a FedEx location for pickup?

If a delivery requires a signature or we can’t leave the package at your home, we may deliver it to a nearby secure location, like a FedEx Office or Walgreens, for you to pick it up. With extended business hours, you can stop by the location listed on your door tag to pick up your package when it’s convenient for you, as early as the same day.

How does a vacation hold work?

When you select a vacation hold, you specify the date range, and we will stop delivering FedEx packages to your home for that time frame, up to 14 days. We will resume delivery on the first business day after the hold end date.
