What does the “delivery exception” status mean?
It means your package is temporarily delayed due to unavoidable circumstances. The reason could be extreme weather, a natural disaster, or other conditions. We work hard to deliver every package as soon as possible, so a delivery exception doesn’t necessarily mean your shipment will arrive late.
You can use visibility tools to get a better understanding of when to expect your package. These include:
- Estimated delivery date and estimated delivery time window.
- Map view. If you have an estimated delivery time window, you can track your package’s movements along the delivery route. If you don’t see an estimated delivery time window, that information may not be available for your package.
- Picture proof of delivery. You can see when and where your package was delivered. You can also receive picture proof of a delivery attempt, so you know we stopped by.
