What is dimensional (dim) weight and how do I calculate it correctly?
Dim weight is the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight. You’re charged based on the dimensional weight or the actual weight of the package—whichever is greater. So, by minimizing extra space in your shipments, you can reduce costs.
