Kawal Preet is the regional president of the Asia Pacific region. From June 2020, she led the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region from Hong Kong and later moved to Singapore in the same role in September 2023. She is now focused exclusively on leading the Asia Pacific region with a team of almost 30,000 and responsible for the region’s financial performance. She drives the growth strategies in this diverse region, delivering operational excellence, optimizing network infrastructure, and unleashing business value.
Prior to this role, Preet was the senior vice president of operations, North and South Pacific (excluding mainland China and Mongolia), a position she assumed in June 2017. Her career with FedEx began in 1997 as an associate engineer in Singapore. Since then, she spent over 15 years in Hong Kong, holding various management roles in planning and engineering as well as operations with Asia Pacific responsibilities. In 2006, she was promoted to managing director, planning, and engineering. In 2014, she advanced as vice president for planning and engineering. Following that in 2016, Preet served as vice president, planning and engineering air network.
Preet is passionate about advancing gender equality and empowering women in the workplace. In 2021, she signed the CEO statement of support on behalf of FedEx APAC team for the United Nation Women’s Empowerment Principles (UNWEPs) – Equality Means Business.
Preet serves as a non-executive director at Intertek Group PLC, a FTSE 100 company. She also sits on the boards of US-ASEAN Business Council and Junior Achievement (JA) Asia Pacific.
Originally from India, Preet holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in India and received her MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia.
