Kami Viswanathan is president of the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa (MEISA) region at FedEx and leads the business in more than 80 countries.
Viswanathan joined FedEx in February 2021 as vice president of Marketing for MEISA, responsible for strategy and commercial growth in the region, and leading corporate innovation efforts out of India. She has been instrumental in charting the rapid growth of FedEx in MEISA, developing strategic partnerships and commercial and network initiatives in India, the UAE, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Viswanathan has diverse experience of over two decades across consulting, entrepreneurship, and investing. She was co-founder and co-CEO of Lumina Datamatics, a leading provider of educational content and technology solutions with over 3,000 people across seven locations in the U.S., Europe, and India. She was also founder of work4.0 capital, a cross-border investment firm focused on the future of work and member of the strategic advisory board of U.S.-based education technology fund GSV Ventures. Earlier in her career, Viswanathan worked with Arthur Andersen’s business advisory practice, helping multinational companies negotiate joint ventures and set up operations in India.
She is a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and serves on the board of the U.S.-India Business Council and the South Asia advisory board of Harvard Business School. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a gold-medalist from the National Law School of India with the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree.
