Why am I being charged a "Non-Stackable surcharge" fee on my invoice?
Non-Stackable surcharge is applied to any freight handling unit that cannot be safely and securely stacked vertically. This refers to pieces, skids, or pallets that meet any of the following conditions:
- They lack a flat and stable top or base.
- They may sustain damage if additional pieces are loaded on top of them.
- They have flat and stable loading surfaces but are too narrow to safely and securely support other freight handling units, such as 1-2 barrels or drums.
For more information about this surcharge, including applicable rates and guidelines, please download the ‘FedEx Surcharge and Other information’ PDF from our other surcharges page.Â
If you have any concerns or wish to dispute this charge, you can log in to FedEx Billing Online using your fedex.com User ID and submit a dispute by selecting "Incorrect Charge" dispute type via the dispute tracking ID page.Â
Please refer to our guide for steps on how to submit a dispute.
