Why am I being charged an "additional handling surcharge - Freight" on my invoice?
A surcharge applies to a shipment that includes any freight handling unit measuring greater than 157 centimeters along its longest side. This additional handling charge is designed to account for the special handling requirements of larger freight items during transit.
We reserve the right to assess additional handling charges for both freight shipments and any freight handling units that require special handling during transit.
For more information about this surcharge, including applicable rates and guidelines, please download the ‘FedEx Surcharge and Other information’ PDF from our other surcharges page.Â
If you have any concerns or wish to dispute this charge, you can log in to FedEx Billing Online using your fedex.com User ID and submit a dispute by selecting "Incorrect Charge" dispute type via the dispute tracking ID page.Â
Please refer to our guide for steps on how to submit a dispute.
