In November 2019, we are bringing together FedEx Express and TNT ground operations in Auckland and Hamilton. This follows the integration of our ground operations networks in Wellington and Christchurch in June 2019. It means you’ll benefit from one courier to pick up and deliver all your FedEx Express and TNT shipments across New Zealand. We’ve worked together to expand our courier routes in these areas to enhance the service your business receives. Our team members are fully committed to delivering the same exceptional service you expect from FedEx Express and TNT, and you can rely on the same customer service team and sales representative that you currently deal with.
TNT customers shipping to or from an embargoed country under U.S. export regulations were notified in February 2016 that all services to or from such countries were discontinued with effect from April 4, 2016.
For the time being, FedEx Express and TNT will continue to provide services as they do today. We intend to develop our services jointly for the future benefit of all our customers. All shipments for our Wellington and Christchurch customers are now being processed through our FedEx Express facilities in those locations. The payment terms of both companies in New Zealand were aligned on 1 September 2019. Payment of freight charges for both TNT and FedEx Express customers is due 30 days from invoice date and the payment of duties/tax fees is due 7 days from invoice date.
