FedEx continues to make adjustments within our network to best deliver for our customers. 
Due to changes in market conditions, FedEx will be reinstating Demand Surcharge on FedEx international parcel and freight shipments to and from the Middle East/North Africa and Sub-Saharan African regions, effective September 2, 2024.
 

1. Services for DS re-introduction include: 

Parcel: FedEx International First, FedEx International Priority Express, FedEx International Priority, FedEx International Economy & 10/25kg Box
Freight: FedEx International Priority Freight, FedEx International Economy Freight

2. Service availability differs across different markets.

The surcharge rate per kg will be applied as shown below:

Minimum amount for parcel & freight: USD1 per shipment. Applicable Surcharge amount will be the higher of the per kg rate OR minimum amount. The above mentioned rates are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
