Tracking
FedEx Tracking provides unparalleled insight into when your package will be delivered. There are three ways to track your shipment:
1. FedEx Tracking is a free online tool that lets you check the status of your shipment quickly and easily in just one click, without logging in. Simply go to fedex.com and enter your tracking number or reference number on the homepage on any device. You can create a homepage watchlist of up to 30 shipments and see real-time delivery updates, view the location of all your shipments, get proof of delivery or get exception notices all from one place.
Hint: Once in the page, click on the star symbol in the right-hand corner of the screen to add the shipment to your watchlist.
2. FedEx Advanced Tracking provides status updates of all your shipments with customized features. To use FedEx Advanced Tracking, simply log in and you can select how you search, filter, report, view and organize your shipments. With FedEx Advanced Tracking, you can:
- Save your view preferences to search more quickly later on
- Choose to see with calendar or list view, depending on your needs
- Improve the way you operate with customized shipping reports. Plus, choose when and how you receive your reports from daily, weekly and monthly, and CSV or XML formats
- Set up alerts for particular events and control the amount of information you receive. Plus, set specific status alerts for multiple shipments with batch notifications
3. FedEx Mobile Tracking is a free tool that lets you check the status of your shipment quickly and easily while you’re on the move, via the FedEx Mobile app for iOS and Android. The app means you can stay up to date in a way that’s convenient for you with email or push notifications on all or one of your shipments.
With FedEx Advanced Tracking, you can quickly alert others to shipment status, delivery and exceptions via email notifications. Choose which key notifications you or your customers receive by ticking the appropriate boxes within the tool.
Email notifications can be sent to a maximum of four recipients per shipment. You need to choose the language (18 available) and for each email recipient, select the notification type:
- When shipment documentation is created (Ship)
- When parcel is picked up (Tendered)
- When and if parcel is delayed (Exception)
- Indication of parcel arrival time (Estimated Delivery)
- When it is delivered (Delivery)
Yes. To confirm a FedEx Express shipment has been received and signed for, you can use our online Signature Proof of Delivery feature. With this tool, you can see an image of the recipient's signature. You can get a letter online or by fax that shows an image of the recipient's signature (if the signature is available).
You can obtain a Signature Proof of Delivery letter with detailed information by providing the 9-digit FedEx Express account number. If the account number matches the shipper or payer of the shipment, you will be able to view detailed Signature Proof of Delivery information, which includes complete contact name, company name, street address, city, state / province, postal code and country information for both the shipper and recipient (if available).
Without the account number, only the signature is available.
The signature image and additional recipient information may not be available for display in all countries. This will be indicated on the Signature Proof of Delivery where applicable.
