2006

• Held the official groundbreaking ceremony for the FedEx Asia Pacific Hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

• Announced the agreement to acquire DTW Group’s 50 percent share of the FedEx-DTW International Priority express joint venture, and DTW Group’s domestic express network in China for US$400 million.

• Launched the three additional China frequencies awarded by the U.S. DOT in 2005, bringing total number of China frequencies to 26.

• Launched a dedicated point-to-point flight service between Seoul, Korea and Anchorage. With five weekly flights, this service brought the total number of FedEx flights per week from Korea to the U.S. and Asian destinations to 25.

• Opened a new facility in Australia’s Brisbane airport that more than doubled its capacity for air express freight in Brisbane.

• Unveiled new Shinsuna station in Japan’s Greater Tokyo area, the largest station in the Asia-Pacific region. The new facility occupies more than 19,000 square meters, houses more than 400 employees and is equipped with technology capable of sorting 6,000 packages per hour.

2007

• Announced next-business-day domestic services in China, offering next-business-day delivery services to more than 30 cities and day-definite services to more than 200 cities and counties throughout China. The hub-and-spoke system centered at the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is capable of sorting up to 9,000 packages per hour.

• As of March 25, 2007, FedEx had the rights to operate 30 weekly U.S.-China frequencies.

2008

• Launched FedEx International Economy^® service in 13 Asia Pacific markets, including Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

• Launched a new Airbus A310 flight service to Vietnam creating a fivefold increase in capacity into and out of the country/territory, and a one-day improvement in transit times into and out of the capital, Hanoi

• Revamped Asia-Pacific web site and enhanced its web-based shipping tool, FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com, to create a more simplified user-interface and faster and more convenient shipping.

• Celebrated the one-year anniversary of the launch of FedEx domestic services in China, offering an earlier next-morning delivery to nine major cities in China, and later cut-off times for intra-region shipments in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Beijing and Tianjin.

• Completed the first flight operations test at the new Asia-Pacific Hub at Guangzhou in southern China in December 2008 and announced the scheduled commencement of operations.

2009

• Commenced operations at the new Asia-Pacific hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, southern China on February 6, 2009.

• Opened FedEx Customer Service Center in Wuhan, China, June 2009, serving international express customers in east China and domestic time-definite customers throughout the country/territory.

• Introduced next-business-day service connecting mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore with France and Germany. The service enhancement will provide a one-business-day transit time to Europe for FedEx International Priority shipments that originate from Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore destined for Frankfurt, Cologne and Paris, form Monday to Thursday.

• Offered later cut-off times and earlier delivery services in the Pearl River Delta region beginning March and May 2009 respectively.

• Enhanced FedEx inbound international express service in Shanghai, China, beginning October 2009. The enhanced delivery time applies to all inbound FedEx International Priority service shipments to most areas of Shanghai from Monday to Saturday, with a money-back guarantee.

2010

• Launched the first Boeing 777 Freighter service connecting Shanghai, mainland China with the FedEx Super Hub in Memphis, Tennessee for the first time beginning January 4.

• Launched FedEx General Delivery for China Domestic Service, effective January 4, which offers a more economic, not time-definite service, but with the same reliability that customers have come to expect from FedEx.

• Received delivery of two diesel-electric hybrid trucks in Hong Kong in February, which help improve the city’s environment by reducing carbon output by 30%, compared to diesel vehicles that FedEx is currently using.

• Expanded FedEx International Economy and International Economy^® Freight services from Asia to Europe-Middle East (EMEA) and Latin America destinations in March, with an additional 11 and 15 destinations added to both regions respectively, bring a total reach of 36 destinations in EMEA and 16 destinations in Latin America.

• Launched the first Boeing 777 Freighter service connecting Hong Kong with the FedEx Super Hub in Memphis, Tennessee, and a new overnight service from Hong Kong to its European hub in Paris, France, beginning March 29.

• Added approximately 1,000 service points to FedEx network in Taiwan through a commercial agency agreement with Chunghwa Post, Taiwan’s official postal service authority. FedEx International Priority service would be made available in phases at more than 1,000 Chunghwa Post outlets, which would be established as FedEx Authorized Ship Centers, a development that is poised to benefit customers from more than 95 percent of postal delivery zones in Taiwan.

• Launched the non-stop service between Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan and the FedEx Super Hub in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning in June, using the Boeing 777 Freighter. This flight originates from Singapore.

• Announced FedEx latest capabilities, including a range of temperature-controlled cargo containers and packaging solutions for healthcare and pharmaceutical customers, as part of the FedEx HealthCare Solutions™ suite of services in June.

• Announced later pick ups for all FedEx international low-value shipments bound for the Europe service land from Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Shaoxing in September. From Tuesday through Friday, customers in select areas of these five cities have an additional two hours to prepare their shipments.

• Enhanced FedEx connectivity between China and the United States with the launch of two new flights services in October – a new transpacific flight from Beijing, China to Anchorage, Alaska, with a stop-over in Incheon, South Korea; and the other being a Boeing 777 Freighter service connecting Shenzhen to FedEx Super Hub in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A.

• Launched the FedEx Electronic Trade Document solution in October, allowing shippers in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand to upload their international shipment documentation electronically, facilitating customs clearance and saving time and resources at the same time.

• Launched a new flight to and from Hanoi four times a week from Tuesday through Friday starting from November. This new dedicated flight improves the transit time for outbound shipments from Hanoi by one business day.

• Deployed a Boeing 777 Freighter to service the direct connection from Hong Kong to the FedEx Europe hub in Paris, France, beginning in December.

• Enhanced FedEx same-day international shipping services from Eastern China to the U.S. with pick-up times up to two hours later, Monday through Friday, beginning December.

2011

• Introduced a new direct connection between India and its Asia Pacific hub in January. The new dedicated A310 flight connects from FedEx Asia Pacific hub in Guangzhou – Mumbai – New Delhi – Guangzhou five-times a week.

• Released the new iPhone and Blackberry applications and an enhanced FedEx mobile website in January, which allow mobile customers to track the status of a package, get a rate quote, schedule a pickup for Asia Pacific markets including Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan, and the find a nearby FedEx location.

• Introduced the worldwide technology enhancements for FedEx Critical Inventory Logistics service in January. The FedEx Critical Inventory Logistics allow customers to locate their most critical inventory at regional distribution centers and forward-stock locations across all Asia Pacific markets, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan, among others.

• Opened a new 2,230-square-meter FedEx station in Suzhou, China in March.

• Improved the transit time for inbound shipments in the greater-Tokyo area, starting May 9.

• Launched FedEx International First in May – a time-definite, customs-cleared, door-to-door service that will deliver shipments by 10a.m. on the same day of delivery commitment to Eastern and Southern China, and Singapore.

• Enhanced FedEx International Priority^® Freight service in June, enabling shipments to be delivered to their destinations in Hong Kong before 12:00 noon.

• Signed a Strategic Collaboration Memorandum in June with Shanghai Airport (Group) Company Limited, in light of east China’s growing export market and Pudong International Airport’s ability to meet FedEx infrastructure requirements.

• Released local language versions for FedEx mobile website in June, including Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Thai.

• Launched a new Extra Large Pak (XL Pak) in 15 major Asia Pacific markets in August, including Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

• Enhanced FedEx services in the same month along the Asia-Europe route with the roll out of a new A300-600 aircraft on the existing route from Incheon, Korea into Europe over the FedEx Asia-Pacific hub in Guangzhou, China, ten times per week.

• Opened FedEx largest operation station in Shanghai in September in response to growing customer needs and package volumes in the local market.

• Strengthened FedEx International Economy and FedEx International Economy Freight services in Asia in September, in which enabled the service to be available from more points of origin inside Asia Pacific to more destinations inside the region and beyond.

• Enhanced FedEx service by a one-business day shorter transit time for non-document shipments from Asia Pacific to Italy starting from October.

• Improved the transit time for shipments from Kyushu, Japan destined to Asia destinations by one business day in November.

2012

• Expanded network coverage from Asia to markets in the Middle East in February, which built on the existing Asia – India connection, with the new routing - Guangzhou- Mumbai-Dubai-Delhi-Guangzhou.

• Launched an Eco-drive campaign in 10 Asia-Pacific markets in March: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, which aimed at improving fuel efficiency by changing the daily driving habits of hundreds of FedEx drivers.

• Launching a carbon-neutral shipping program in April with the introduction of 100% recyclable carbon-neutral FedEx Envelope.

• Announced in May the decision to establish a new FedEx North Pacific Regional Hub at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan, which will serve as a consolidation point for shipments from northern Asia to the United States.

• Extended the call-in cut-off time for outbound shipments from Taiwan to Europe and Africa in June to as late as 19:00.

• Launched two additional Boeing 777 Freighter routes in Asia Pacific, connecting Shanghai and Guangzhou in China to the FedEx Hub in Cologne, Germany with five weekly flights from Tuesday through Saturday.

• Further expanded FedEx International First service in Asia Pacific in August, allowing customers in Sydney, Australia and Osaka, Japan to benefit from earlier delivery time for shipments from the U.S., Canada and Latin America to Asia Pacific.

• Launched a range of new tools and expansions to the suite of FedEx Mobile applications in August, expanding the FedEx Mobile website to 206 countries/territories and in 25 languages, in which customers in 30 markets in Asia Pacific would benefit from this.

• Opened FedEx new South Pacific Regional Hub in October, the first and only express transportation facility in Singapore, to better support customers in the Asia Pacific region and enhance their access to global markets.

• Launched FedEx Priority Alert^® and FedEx Priority Alert Plus inbound and outbound services in 10 Asia Pacific markets from October 1 to offer added connections and peace of mind for Asia Pacific customers who require the highest level of reliable monitoring for their time and temperature-sensitive shipments.

• Signed an agreement with the Shanghai Airport (Group) Company Limited (SAA) in October to establish the new FedEx Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub in China, which is slated for completion in 2017.

• Extended call-in cutoff times by up to two hours for outbound shipments from Taiwan to the U.S. with the deployment of a non-stop Boeing 777 Freighter service between Taipei and FedEx World Hub in Memphis, U.S. in October.

• Launched SenseAwareSM service in Australia and Singapore to allow customers better control their supply chain and stay connected to their most critical and time-sensitive shipments in near real-time.

2013

• Launched the first major fleet of zero-emission all-electric vehicles for FedEx in Asia Pacific with ten vehicles deployed in Hong Kong in March.

• Opened FedEx Express station in Khon Kaen, a major commercial city in Thailand’s second largest province, in March.

• Delivered two giant pandas from Chengdu, China to Toronto Zoo on the specially chartered “FedEx Panda Express” MD-11F on March 25, 2013.

• Nissan teamed up with FedEx Express to conduct field tests for its 100 percent electric e-NV200 commercial vehicle in Singapore in April.

• Opened the first FedEx Express station in Hat Yai, southern Thailand’s largest city, in June.

• Launched SenseAware service in Hong Kong in July, allowing customers get near- real-time tracking and increased visibility for their shipments.

• Expanded operations facility at Beijing Capital International Airport in July, to increase its handling capacity for international shipments and meet growing customer demand for inbound and outbound shipment services in northern China.

• Expanded the temperature controlled packaging (TCP) portfolio in 13 Asia-Pacific markets in August to include a new “cold shipping” packaging option for customers that require a refrigerated environment of 2-8° Celsius up to 96 hours for their shipments.

• Introduced FedEx^® Quick Form in 10 Asia Pacific markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, providing customers with greater convenience when processing shipments.

• Further enhanced its range of cold chain shipping solutions in October to benefit the healthcare industry and customers with temperature-sensitive freight needs. This included Thermal Blanket, Cold Shipping Package Option, Deep Frozen Shipping Solution and ShipmentWatch.

2014

• Further improved the web-based shipping tool FedEx Ship Manager in March with the availability of Thai language and reduced number of air waybills and commercial invoices for China outbound shipment.

• Commenced operations at its new North Pacific Regional Hub located at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan in April, to serve as a consolidation and transshipment point for shipments between Asia and the United States. On top of the current direct flight routes to the United States, a new route to Indianapolis in Indiana was added.

• Launched the FedEx^® Global Returns in September, a shipping solution designed to simplify the worldwide returns process, allowing retailers to better manage their customers’ returns experience, including editable return labels, customs documentation and flexible return destinations.

• Broadened the FedEx International First early delivery service to include 31 new origin countries/territories in October, including China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

• Expanded its retail network in the Philippines in October. Customers can ship through FedEx Authorized Ship Centers in 313 strategically-located 2GO Express and Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC) outlets nationwide.

2015

• Introduced door-to-door pick-up and delivery services for dangerous goods shipped via FedEx International Priority services in Taiwan in March. Customers no longer have to arrange separate ground transportation from/to the airport.

• Extends its services to more than 5,000 7-ELEVEN stores around Taiwan in June. This brings FedEx retail service points to more than 6,300 together with the more than 1,300 FedEx Authorized Ship Centers1 at Chunghwa Post offices, Eslite Bookstores, Kodak Express stores and Sir Speedy centers.

• Launched the FedEx^® SMS Tracking service in Korea in July, allowing mobile users to receive tracking updates of in-transit shipments without requiring internet connection.

• Launched a range of one-stop cold chain shipping solutions in China in August, which will benefit customers requiring a refrigerated temperature for their shipments.

• Launched new international delivery services for outbound shipments through collaboration with Japan Post in Japan in October. Japan Post will expand its U-Global Express international delivery service to U.S. destinations and takes care of pickups from customers in Japan shipping to the U.S. FedEx will provide International Economy services and handle customs clearance and delivery to final destinations in the U.S.

• Launched ‘My FedEx Delivery’ service in Australia in December to offer customers greater flexibility to tailor their home delivery by notifying them of incoming shipments and allowing them to select from a range of delivery options via an online portal.

• Enhanced delivery service for Japan inbound shipments in December. FedEx will now pick up all shipments from around the world via FedEx International Priority or International Economy to Japan and clear through Customs. Japan Post will handle the last-mile domestic delivery for select packages weighing up to 30kg.

2016

• Launched FedEx Customized Freight (FCF) in China and Thailand in January and August respectively. The new service enables outbound shipments to the rest of the world and inbound shipments from the U.S. and other major Asian countries/territories requiring high-level monitoring for temperature control, package security and shipping processes.

• Introduced zero-emission, all-electric Nissan e-NV200 vehicles in Japan in February, which is a further step towards realizing FedEx goal to improve fleet fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.

• Signed a memorandum of understanding with Incheon International Airport Corporation on the ‘Development and Operation of FedEx Cargo Terminal at Incheon International Airport’ in March. The new cargo terminal dedicated to FedEx is scheduled to be completed in 2019.

• Opened new, state-of-the-art Cold Chain Center at FedEx Express World Hub in Memphis, Tennessee in March. Designed to protect the integrity of temperature-sensitive healthcare and perishable shipments, the 7,710-square-meter facility forms an integral part of the FedEx global cold chain network and a wider portfolio of the FedEx^® Healthcare Solutions.

• Successfully completed the acquisition of TNT Express on May 25, combining the strengths of the world’s largest air express network with an unparalleled European road network and expanding the existing FedEx portfolio.

• Launched the FedEx Virtual Assistant in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam in June, making shipment-related queries quicker and easier for customers across a range of customer service touch points.

• Opened a new facility at Perth Airport in August to provide Western Australian customers greater access to its global network. The new 3,000 square meters facility is more than twice the size of the previous Perth facility and its location near the Perth cargo terminal offers better highway entry points, improving FedEx ability to retrieve and distribute freight.
