How does it work?
It’s all pretty simple – to let the recipient change their parcel’s delivery details, the sender has to enter the recipient’s information and turn on the notifications in our FedEx Ship Manager® tool. Bear in mind, recipients can’t sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager on their own.

FAQ for shippers and recipients
Only senders (e.g., those who run an online shop) can set up FedEx Delivery Manager for their recipients. Recipients can’t sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager on their own.
Once the service is activated, the recipient will be able to view and choose which delivery options suit them.
The sender has to enable FedEx Delivery Manager for their recipients. Once this is done, the recipient will get a notification from FedEx (SMS or email) outlining the delivery details and date.
If the delivery details don’t suit, the recipient can click the link included in the notification which will take them to a secure webpage. There they can change the delivery date and/or location anytime up to the delivery day.
Once they’ve changed the details, the recipient will get a confirmation by email or SMS. On the delivery day, they’ll also be reminded the shipment is on its way.

FedEx Delivery Manager is available for eligible shipments booked for delivery to residential locations. To find out if the service is available and if your shipment is eligible, contact FedEx Customer Service.
In any of our shipping tools, you can select the notification option to inform you once your recipients receive their packages.
In the delivery notification you will receive a link to the FedEx Delivery Manager portal showing the full FedEx domain https://www.fedex.com/COUNTRY/delivery.... If you don´t see the full domain in the link, please do not click on the link. You will moreover have to provide either your mobile number or email address depending on how you access the portal.
FedEx will not ask for payment, bank details, or information such as passport or social security numbers in exchange for goods in transit or for goods currently held by FedEx. Do no click on links or respond to messages requesting such information.
As the recipient, you will receive a number of notifications (by email or SMS) during the shipment journey.
Here’s what you’ll be told along the way:
- You’ll get the estimated delivery date once your package has been prepared by the shipper. This notification includes a link to FedEx Delivery Manager where you can customize your delivery to suit your schedule.
- You’ll receive confirmation of any changes you made to the delivery
- You’ll be reminded of the day your shipment will be delivered
- You’ll be told when your shipment has been successfully delivered

Please note:
Some countries and territories might not have all the delivery options and a given destination country or territory may not have coverage in all areas. For example, in some regions the ‘Deliver to a neighbor’ option might be turned off or your recipients might not have the ‘Deliver to a pickup point’ option. Some restrictions may also apply depending on the type of shipment. For more details, please contact Customer Service.
From the moment we pick up the package, we may provide you via FDMi Notifications and Portal an estimated delivery time window of up to 4 hours to help you plan your day better or manage your delivery around your schedule through available Convenient Delivery Options via FDMi. This is available subject to services and destination postcodes. You can view the list of countries where this is available here.
