What is a third-party payment?
A third-party payment is a billing method in which a third party other than the shipper or the recipient pays for the freight.
What is a consignee payment?
A consignee payment is a billing method in which the recipient of the shipment pays for the freight.
What are the advantages of third-party payments and consignee payments?
Shippers have the freedom to choose a billing option. There is also no additional handling fee.
How can I apply for these additional billing options?

*Some customers may need to provide a payment guarantee letter.
Please remember to provide the correct FedEx account number when making use of third-party payments or consignee payments. If the third party or recipient fails to pay the freight, the sender will be responsible for the payment.
