FedEx is one of the first international carriers to provide picture proof of delivery without requiring an account or log in for U.S. and Canadian residential shipments released without a signature. All you need to do is track your shipment or enable tracking alerts.
From first click to final delivery, show customers you care
For shipments marked as ‘delivered’, we provide proof of delivery options designed to boost customer confidence and enhance the delivery experience.
Picture proof of delivery
You and your customers can see a picture of the delivery when it’s left at the door. It’s available for FedEx residential deliveries that don’t require a signature.*
GPS proof of delivery
FedEx account holders can access a static map and GPS coordinates showing the location where their customers' FedEx residential package was marked as delivered.**
Steps to view picture and GPS proof of delivery
To view picture proof of delivery (if available):
- Visit the FedEx tracking page and enter your tracking number
- View the picture proof of your final delivery online.
To view GPS proof of delivery:
- Log in to your account using the FedEx User ID and password associated with the shipment.
- Visit the FedEx tracking page and enter your tracking number.
- Click on “GPS delivery location” under delivery status to see a static map view and GPS coordinates of where the shipment was delivered.
To view picture and GPS proof of delivery:
- Log in using your FedEx User ID and password.
- Select a tracking number to view the picture proof of your final delivery.
- Select ‘Edit Columns’ and add the ‘GPS Delivery Location’ column to your shipment list. You’ll see a clickable icon for each shipment that has GPS proof of delivery available.
- Click the location pin icon in the “GPS delivery location” column to see a static map view and GPS coordinates of where the shipment was marked as delivered.

Frequently asked questions
Nope. It’s free. And it’s easy - you don’t have to enrol in a program or log in to see the photo of your delivery. You can simply enter your tracking number.
Picture proof of delivery is supported in over 50 countries and territories worldwide. GPS proof of delivery is currently only available in Canada and the US.
If the picture proof of delivery for your package is showing the wrong delivery location and it was marked as delivered, please follow these steps:
- Locate and enter your tracking ID.
- Click ‘Report Missing Package’ (under the delivery status or proof of delivery picture, if provided).*
- Enter the original destination address when prompted.
- Provide your name, phone number, and email address (optional), then choose text or email and confirm we can contact you.
- Click ‘Submit’ for a case number, then ‘Done’. Please make note of your case number.

* Available within Canada, the US and select destination countries and territories where image capture is operationally supported.
** Available within Canada and the U.S. Please note that the location shown is based on the GPS coordinates where the package was scanned as delivered by the courier. The GPS coordinates might not pinpoint the exact location of your package.
