Federal Express Canada Corporation Internet Privacy Policy - Revised

Federal Express Canada Corporation acknowledges the importance of protecting the privacy of fedex.ca users. The information we collect is used to improve the services we and our parent, affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively "FedEx") offer, to improve the fedex.ca website's content, and to communicate with you, including, to contact you with updates to our website and FedEx services and activities, to use in other FedEx marketing, promotional and informational activities, and to perform other activities as described in this Privacy Policy.

In addition, certain areas of fedex.ca, including but not limited to FedEx Ship Manager™ at fedex.ca, FedEx InSight®, FedEx® Global Trade Manager and FedEx® Tracking require registration or a password to enter and use the application. Information obtained through those sites may also be used for the purposes stated above, and cookies may be used in those and other areas, as is described in this Privacy Policy. Information obtained in the areas may also be used in accordance with agreements governing access to and use of the areas, e.g., FedEx Ship Manager™ at fedex.ca. In addition, visitors to fedex.ca may choose to register for a fedex.ca Login user ID and password to simplify access to some interactive features on fedex.ca. Log file data and other information gathered from registered users of fedex.ca are used to improve the fedex.ca customer experience.

fedex.ca Login currently provides users with access to FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca, and FedEx® Global Trade Manager, FedEx® Tracking. Currently, other applications require separate registrations. In the future, FedEx may add other features to those accessed through fedex.ca Login. (In such event, previously registered users will not be required to re-register.)

If you are the recipient of a package, we have obtained your name and shipping information from a customer. When you visit fedex.ca to track your package in transit, we collect your IP address and other non-identifying information about you, as we do with other visitors to the website. You do not need to register with fedex.ca to obtain tracking information about your package. We use, disclose, and otherwise handle information that we obtain about you to support the operation of fedex.ca, to provide our services, and to perform other activities as described in this Privacy Policy.

Please see terms and conditions of the applicable FedEx Service Guide for limitations of liability and disclaimers of warranty applicable to FedEx services and various information used in FedEx services. FedEx reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time with or without notice. Please check back frequently in the event of changes.

What non-personal information does FedEx capture on visitors to its Website?

fedex.ca resides on the fedex.com Web Server. This server uses an extended log file format which captures: date and time of visit, refer address (location from which a visitor comes to fedex.ca), type of Internet browser, and visitor's IP address (each computer that connects to the Internet is assigned a unique number, an IP Address, for identification purposes), country/language, date/timestamp, screen size, meta tags, and FedEx first party cookie and third party cookies. The log file does not capture a visitor's email address. For more information, please see the section on cookies below.

What happens when I leave fedex.ca (or fedex.com) to visit a FedEx linked Website?

Parts of fedex.ca consist of products and services hosted by business partners and other third parties. When you leave fedex.ca (or fedex.com) to visit one of their sites, the only information transferred to the third party is the fact that you came from fedex.ca (the refer address). This practice allows the third party to monitor its own website traffic, but does not provide them with any information about you. FedEx is not responsible or liable for the independent activities, privacy policies or content at third party sites. You should consult the privacy policies and other terms and conditions at those sites to determine how your information may be used.

Unless you register with certain areas of fedex.ca, these cookies will not contain any personal information. If you do register with certain areas of fedex.ca, cookies that contain personal information may be combined with other information to provide you with more customized content on this website and advertisements on other sites across the Internet.
