You can offer your customers a range of convenient delivery options with FedEx Delivery Manager.
Deliver as Planned
Confirm planned delivery details and share additional delivery instructions.
Deliver as Planned and Sign for the Package
Sign for the delivery in advance and specify a safe location to leave the package.
Deliver to the Original Address on a Future Date
Delay the delivery to a more convenient date, up to 5 days from the original planned date.

Provide authorization to redirect package to a location within the vicinity of the original delivery address.

Leave the company field blank for residential deliveries.
Provide the customer’s email address in the recipient field.
Frequently Asked Questions About FedEx Delivery Manager
FedEx will send an email notification to your residential customer with a secure link to the FedEx Delivery Manager portal.
If the original delivery details are not convenient, your customer can choose from the available options presented in the portal.
On the day of delivery, your customer will receive an email notification when the shipment is on its way.
As the shipper, you can activate the FedEx Delivery Manager for your customers when creating a shipment using a FedEx electronic shipping solution. Learn how.
FedEx Delivery Manager service can be activated for all eligible* FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® residential shipments.
Please note that this feature is only available for residential shipments with a delivery address in Canada that have a customs or declared value under USD$1000.
You can activate delivery notifications when you create a shipment using your FedEx electronic shipping solution:
- Go to Shipment Notifications
- Notify Sender > Notification Type > Select Notifications: “Ship, Tendered, Exception, Estimated Delivery or Delivery.”
If your customer makes changes to the original delivery details, the changes will appear when you track the status of the shipment.
