I’ve already paid the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) directly (via credit card, Interac online, or pre-authorized debit) for my duties and taxes through the CARM Client Portal (CCP). Do I still need to pay my FedEx invoice?
Yes, you will still need to pay your FedEx invoice. The option to pay the CBSA directly for your import duties and taxes will only be available to FedEx customers after Release 3. You must notify FedEx in advance by completing and submitting this agreement via email. Until then, FedEx will continue to pay the CBSA for the duties and taxes on the shipments we release on your behalf. Payments made directly to the CBSA before or after Release 3, without notifying FedEx, will remain as credits on your CCP account for future transactions.
To request a refund for the credit on your CCP account, you will need to contact the CARM Client Support Helpdesk (CCSH). In such cases, please ensure you provide the necessary documentation to support your request. The CCSH can be reached online using the client support contact form. If you experience any difficulties with the form, please contact the CBSA directly at 1.800.461.9999 and select option 2.
