What is FedEx International Priority® Express?

FedEx International Priority® Express is a new service, which means your express international parcel shipments are delivered in one to three business days by midday to select countries and territories*. You can still use our FedEx International Priority® service for deliveries by the end of the business day to more than 220 countries and territories.

Which countries and territories can I ship to with FedEx International Priority® Express?

You can send shipments from select countries to select postal codes in the following countries and territories*: Noon service areas in 27 destinations (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States)

What is the difference between FedEx International Priority® Express and our other express parcel services?

Our new FedEx International Priority® Express service offers you one to three business days delivery by midday to select countries and territories.*

Our other express parcel services include:

  • FedEx International Priority®: offering one to three business days delivery by end of the business day to more than 220 countries and territories.*
  • FedEx International First®: offering one to three business days delivery by 8:00 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. to select postal codes in the U.S., and as early as 10:00 a.m. to major worldwide destinations.*

How can I can send a shipment with the new FedEx International Priority® Express service?

How can I know if FedEx International Priority® Express® is available to use for my shipment?

If you are using the latest version of the shipping tools below, it will show as an available service in “Service” in the shipping tool after you fill in origin and destination address:

  • Global Ship Manager (GSM) v13.X or higher
  • FedEx Ship Manager (FSM) v3400 or higher
  • FedEx Ship Manager Server (FSMS) v20 or higher
  • FedEx Ship Manager (FXSF) v0107 or higher
  • Web Services v.3600 and above (starting 2020 WSDL)
  • FedEx APIs v1.0 or higher
  • FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com
  • FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com

Why can’t I see both the FedEx International Priority® Express and FedEx International Priority® on my automation? 

The new FedEx International Priority® services are only available with select automation platforms and services. If the destination you are shipping to is an end-of day only destination, then you will only see the service that applies to such destination. 

Online, the FedEx International Priority® services will only become available with the launch of our new enhanced solution. This will be released in phases, and you will automatically be routed to the new experience when logging into fedex.com

  • You will also have access on FedEx Ship Manager® SW with version 3400 or higher
  • If you are using one of our Integration solutions, you can access these services when using FedEx Ship Manager® Server v2003 or higher or FedEx Web Services v3600 or higher

 

How do I choose which service I want to use?

If you want your package to be delivered by 10:00 a.m. within 1-3 business days, you should choose FedEx International First®. If you prefer a noon delivery within 1-3 business days, you should choose FedEx International Priority® Express (IPE). If you want an end of day delivery within 1-3 business days, you can select FedEx International Priority® (IP).  Note that FedEx International First® and IPE are only available to certain destinations.

 

Can I use the previous version of the manual Air Waybill (AWB) to ship with FedEx International Priority® service?

Yes, but the new services are not available on older version of the manual AWB printed paper copy. Only legacy International Priority (IP) will remain available on the previous version of the manual AWB and customers will pay current FedEx International Priority® rates. When you select FedEx International Priority® you will receive a morning delivery commit if available to the destination address you have indicated.

You’ll need to use a new version of the manual AWB  or FedEx automation channels to ship with our new services.

Does the money-back guarantee* apply to FedEx International First®, FedEx International Priority® Express and FedEx International Priority® ?

The money-back guarantee applies to  FedEx International First, FedEx International Priority® Express and FedEx International Priority® where available* and is calculated as per the usual process. It can be suspended due to contingency measures, among other reasons.

 

Has the process of submitting a MBG claim request changed?

The process has not changed. 

 

Can you use the signature services with the new product?

Delivery signature options are currently available for 60-plus destination countries. Available countries and options may change over time; however, your automation solutions are automatically updated and only offer the FedEx Delivery Signature Options currently available in each destination country. 

 

Just like a normal FedEx package, is the $100 declared value for carriage automatically included in the rate? 

The rules for declared value for carriage remain the same. If not governed by the Warsaw Convention, the CMR, or any other international treaties, laws, other governmental regulations, orders, or requirements, our maximum liability for loss, damage, delay, shortage, misdelivery, nondelivery, misinformation, or failure to provide information in connection with your shipment is limited to US$100 per shipment or US$9.07 per pound (US$20.00 per kilogram) (or the equivalent in local currency), whichever is greater, unless the customer declares a higher value for carriage and pays the corresponding charge; Visit fedex.com for the most updated information on terms and conditions.

 

Will my pickup times change?

No, your pickup times will remain the same.

 

Will there be any changes to my payment and credit terms? 

No, these will remain the same.
