Content authors and select SMEs will require access to AEM. There are multiple user roles, each with their own level of permissions. Reviewers, approvers and testers should not require access. Download the Access document and follow the instructions for requesting access to production. After you have successfully logged in to AEM, contact GDCM-support@fedex.com to receive the correct user role.
Before your page can go live, there are many steps you must take to ensure all the proper processes are followed. From offline processes, like working with the content teams to AEM steps like SEO fields and analytics tags, the launch checklist ensures you'll sail through the development and approval processes with ease.
Before you can edit and author your page, it must first be created. All U.S. partners must follow the GO! Prioritization process set forth by the G2M team.
Once granted access, Content Authors will need to contact GDCM to request page creation within the fedex.com site structure. After creation, Content Authors will log into the Production environment to edit and update their page(s). All pages are edited from the Global Language Master level to ensure proper inheritance. Pages are created using a template. Each template is comprised of a different set of components. Components can be added and removed from the template, as desired.

These are the building blocks of every page created within AEM. A different set of components is on each template and can be added/removed to meet the content needs.
Content and SEO go hand-in-hand. Without one, your efforts on the other are diminished.
