FedEx Ship Manager® Hardware

This powerful hardware solution gives you a full range of shipping functions so you can handle large volumes and automate your entire shipping process. High-volume shippers, such as shipping departments or mailrooms, can improve efficiency, reduce errors, and eliminate paperwork using a FedEx Ship Manager system.


FedEx Ship Manager is currently available in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Minimum Requirements

To use FedEx Ship Manager, you will need


  • 19 square feet recommended for standard system
  • LAN connection or dedicated dial-up telephone line for each system
  • Environment that is 50-95 degrees Fahrenheit
  • A/C outlet within 3 feet of the system with dedicated 20-amp, 3-prong grounded duplex; frequency of 60Hz +/-2Hz; voltage of 110V to 120V
  • FedEx Ship Manager includes the following hardware:
    • Base unit: Pentium PC
    • Color Monitor
    • Standard Keyboard
    • Report printer: Lexmark 2380 Plus report printer
    • Thermal label printer: Zebra 2844
    • Mouse and mouse pad
    • Modem

Zebra® Printers


Installing Zebra Printers - Depending on the type of thermal printer you have and the port you are using, you can download and install the current Zebra® printer driver. If you have a replacement printer, you can also uninstall the old printer driver and install the new one. The affected thermal printers are the Zebra® ZP 500® (ZPL), Zebra® ZP 500® Plus (ZPL), Zebra® LP 2844, Zebra® LP 2348plus, Zebra® Z4Mplus and Eltron® Orion 2443.)
