FedEx SmartPost works with you to create a pickup schedule that meets your needs or we can place a trailer at your fulfillment center(s) for you to load at your convenience. After pick-up, we transport your packages to our distribution center for prompt sortation.

Packages are sorted by destination ZIP code, then shipped to entry points deep in the USPS mailstream to reduce time-in-transit, minimize handling, and generate zone-skipping discounts. We use tractor-trailers to transport your packages to postal processing centers for final delivery.

USPS uses more than 250,000 vehicles and 270,000 carriers to complete in-home delivery six days a week to every address and post-office box in the United States.
