Review the most current information about additional shipping fees, and other changes that can affect your shipping rates.
2025 FedEx rate changes
We regularly evaluate our shipping rates and fees and adjust them when needed. This enables us to keep investing in our business so we can continue delivering the shipping solutions you need and the excellent service you’ve come to expect from us.
Here are the details of recent changes to list rates and fees, along with information on other factors that might affect your shipping rates.
Effective Jan. 6, 2025: FedEx rate changes
- FedEx package and freight rates will increase. Learn more.
- There will be changes to shipping surcharges and fees that may apply to your shipment and affect your total shipping rate.
- FedEx Logistics base customs brokerage rates will increase by 4%. This increase does not apply to any ancillary fees for customs brokerage services.
Effective Oct. 14, 2024
Some surcharges will be added to the list of fuel-applicable surcharges for U.S. domestic package services. See the Additional information section of the fuel surcharge page for details.
Effective Oct. 7, 2024
FedEx will adjust the fuel surcharges and update the table for international* shipments. See the fuel surcharge table effective Oct. 7, 2024.
*Does not include FedEx International Ground and FedEx International Ground Consolidation shipments to Canada.
Effective April 15, 2024

Demand surcharge information
As FedEx prepares for high demand during the holiday season, we are adjusting our networks to best deliver for our customers. We again anticipate the surge in volume to carry over into the new year.
To continue providing our customers with the best possible service during this challenging time, we are implementing certain demand surcharges and fees.

FedEx package and freight rates
- FedEx package and freight standard list rates for U.S., U.S. export, and U.S. import services will increase an average of 5.9%.
- FedEx Ground® Economy, FedEx Ground Multiweight®, FedEx International Premium®, and FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution® rates will increase. Minimum rates for FedEx U.S. and international package services will also increase.
- Pricing for FedEx One Rate will change.
- FedEx retail rates will change.
FedEx Freight rates
- FedEx Freight rates will increase an average of 5.9%, applicable to the FXF PZONE, FXF EZONE, Offshore (includes FXF 300, FXF 303, FXF 352, and FXF 370 series), FXFC 1100 (Intra-Canada) rates, and Commodity rates (includes pallet, volume, or truckload).
- View 2025 optional and additional service charge changes.
- View FedEx Freight zone-based rate booklets:
- FXF 1000, FXF 501, FXFM DD (Mexico Door-to-Door) rates and FXFM IMS (Intra-Mexico Shipment) rates will increase an average of 6.9%.
- FedEx Freight box rates will not increase.

FedEx Freight zone-based rates are available for FedEx Freight® Priority and FedEx Freight® Economy services. Additional fees and surcharges may apply for fuel and other services.
To determine your FedEx Freight zone-based rate, you'll need:
1. A FedEx Freight zone locator to find the zone for your shipment.
2. FedEx Freight additional pickup and delivery charge ZIP code and postal code tier lists (if applicable):

- Contiguous U.S. (ASCII)
- Canada (PDF)
- Canada (ASCII)
3. FedEx Freight zone-based rate tables (including pickup and delivery charges) for shipments. View 2024 FedEx Freight zone-based rate booklets:
Customers can also get zone-based rate information by:
- Downloading the zone-based rate disks
- FXF PZONE rates (for FedEx Freight Priority)
- FXF EZONE rates (for FedEx Freight Economy)
- Going to the Get Rates & Transit Times tool

Why are there seasonal demand surcharges during the holiday shipping season?
Each year as FedEx prepares for high demand during the holiday season, we adjust our networks to best deliver for our customers. Even during challenging market conditions, we remain committed to providing the best customer service possible. To support the changes to our networks, we will implement demand surcharges.
How can I get a current FedEx rate quote?
You can view standard list and retail rate tables by delivery service to see how much it costs to ship your package. You can also determine delivery zone by ZIP code or find out how to sign up your customers to access FedEx shipping rates directly from your website.

How do electronic shipping solutions support the rate change?
- FedEx package shipping rate changes will be available to all users of FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com and FedEx Web Services.
- FedEx package shipping rates will be downloaded to all versions of FedEx Ship Manager® and FedEx Ship Manager® Server on or after Jan. 6, 2025.
- FedEx Freight shipping rates will be available to specific versions of FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Ship Manager Server.
To ensure your automation solution reflects the 2025 rate changes, you will need to be on the latest versions of software.
