U.S. fuel surcharges
Fuel surcharge is subject to weekly adjustment.
The fuel surcharge for FedEx Ground®, FedEx Home Delivery®, FedEx International Ground®, FedEx LTL freight services, and pickup services is based on the weekly published national U.S. on-highway average price for a gallon of diesel fuel.*
The fuel surcharge for all other services is based on the weekly published U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) spot price for a gallon of kerosene-type jet fuel.*
Effective May 11, 2026
FedEx will adjust the fuel surcharges and update the table for FedEx international services.** See the fuel surcharge table effective May 11, 2026.
*Notwithstanding any information provided herein, the customer agreement is the final authority for all matters related to the customer’s fuel surcharge calculation and the frequency of the calculation adjustment.

Fuel surcharge percentages and associated trigger points are subject to change without notice. For diesel fuel prices below $3.55, the fuel surcharge will change by 0.25% for each $0.27 change in the diesel fuel price. For diesel fuel prices at and above $3.55, the fuel surcharge will change by 0.25% for each $0.09 change in the diesel fuel price. The U.S. Department of Energy fuel index is updated on the first business day of each week. The applicable surcharge will become effective on the Wednesday immediately following for rating purposes.
The fuel surcharge rate for FedEx Freight services applies as specified in Item 570 of the FXF 100 Series Rules Tariff.
Changes to the FedEx fuel surcharge will be applied weekly. The surcharge will be reflected on your FedEx invoice.

- For other services, see the USGC index for the spot price per gallon of kerosene-type jet fuel.

For FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, and FedEx International Ground shipments, the related fuel surcharge is assessed on the net package rate plus the following applicable surcharges: Additional Handling Surcharge, Address Correction, FedEx Ground® Call Tag, Delivery Area Surcharge, FedEx® Delivery Signature Options, FedEx Home Delivery® Convenient Delivery Options, Hazardous Materials, Northern Canada Surcharge, Oversize Charge, Demand — Additional Handling Surcharge, Demand — Ground Unauthorized Package Charge, Demand — Oversize Charge, Demand — Residential Delivery Charge, Ground Unauthorized Package Charge, Residential Delivery Charge, Return Pickup, and any temporary surcharge(s) currently in effect. This list may be amended or augmented without notice.

For FedEx express freight shipments where a weight-based calculation is used, the related fuel surcharge is assessed on the billable weight of the shipment. Billable weight may include additional deficit weight when applicable.
For FedEx Freight shipments, the related fuel surcharge is assessed on all rates and charges for linehaul transportation, and other services which consume fuel, in tariffs or contracts making reference to Item 570 of the FXF 100 Series Rules Tariff.
