Help Menu
Click the Help menu at the top of each page to access the following tools:

Get Rates and Transit Times


  1. Enter the required shipment information to determine the shipping costs, transit times, and delivery options for a FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground®, or FedEx Express® Freight shipment.
  2. If you are not logged into fedex.com, you will receive FedEx® Standard List Rates or FedEx® Retail Counter Rates. To receive account specific rates, you must be logged in to Account Specific Rates at fedex.com. Standard account discounts are not applicable to FedEx One Rate® pricing.
  3. Definition of Rating Terminology
    • Published Rate — The Published Rate is the non-discounted rate paid by FedEx account holders and is Either:
      • Standard List Rate
        or
      • FedEx One Rate
    • Your Rate — The Rate you receive based on:

Ship From/To


From
Please use one of the following options to select your shipment origin:
  • Select the country from the drop-down menu and enter the ZIP or postal code.
    • Some countries do not require a postal code.
    • In cases where no postal code is required, you must select a city from the drop-down menu, or enter the city name (when applicable).
    • If you do not know the ZIP Code or postal code, click Find ZIP or Find Postal Code and enter the address information on the Lookup screen.
    • Click Select to populate the ZIP Code or postal code field on the Get Rates and Transit Times screen.
  • Select Company or Contact Name from the drop-down menu to populate shipment origin information.*

* You must be logged in to fedex.com to select either Contact Name or Company. Please enter your fedex.com User ID and Password to log in to Account Specific Rates.

To
Choose one of the following options to select your destination:
  • Select the country from the drop-down menu and enter the ZIP or postal code.
  • Some countries do not require a postal code.
  • In cases where no postal code is required, you must select a city from the drop-down menu, or enter the city name (when applicable).
  • If you do not know the ZIP Code or postal code, click Find ZIP or Find Postal Code and enter the address information on the Lookup screen.
  • Click Select to populate the ZIP Code or postal code field on the Get Rates and Transit Times screen.
  • Select Company or Contact Name from the drop-down menu to populate shipment origin information.*
  • Click “This is a Residential Address” checkbox if destination is a residence.

Additional Information
  • Pricing Options: Choose your Pricing Option
    • FedEx Standard Rate includes FedEx Standard List Rates and Account-Specific Rates. The FedEx Standard Rate quote you receive is based on package weight entered, dimensions and other shipment details. For additional information on how shipping charges are calculated, please refer to the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com.
    • FedEx One Rate is a U.S. domestic pricing option for FedEx Express® shipments that includes any applicable residential surcharges, delivery area surcharges and fuel surcharge. Shippers are required to use FedEx Express packaging and U.S. domestic FedEx Express shipping services (FO, PO, SO, E2, E2AM and ESP). FedEx One Rate is subject to other charges including, but not limited to, on-call pickup, Saturday delivery, signature service options, additional declared value, and address/account corrections. For additional information about FedEx One Rate, please refer to the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com.
    • Please see the Rates and Transit Times section for additional information about rating. Note: While weighing your package is not required for FedEx One Rate pricing, to qualify, FedEx® Envelopes must weigh 10 lbs. or less and FedEx® Paks and Boxes must weigh 50 lbs. or less. If your package exceeds these weight limits, it will be rated based on FedEx Standard List Rates or FedEx Retail Rates as applicable. Please refer to the specific packaging for recommended weight limits.
  • Number of Packages: You may enter up to 25 packages, but FedEx One Rate pricing is only available for single-piece shipments.
    • Answer Yes to the question, “Are packages identical?” if you are shipping more than one package and all packages have the same weight and dimensions.
    • If your packages are not identical, click No and enter the individual package information when prompted in the Package and Shipment Details section.
  • Ship to a residence: Select this option if you are shipping to a residence (U.S. only). Additional charges apply for residential delivery service. Residential delivery service charges do not apply to FedEx One Rate pricing.
  • Ship with FedEx Account No.: If you select this option, the Account Specific Rates Login Screen will display after you select the quote type (if you are not already logged in).
  • You must enter your FedEx User ID and Password to proceed.
  • You will then be returned to the Get Rates and Transit Times screen.
  • Your account information helps FedEx provide the most accurate rate quote possible, based on your FedEx account number, including any discounts.
  • Pickup/Dropoff: Select an option from the drop-down menu to drop off your package, schedule an on-call pickup, or use a regularly scheduled pickup.
  • Ship Date: Select the date you want to ship the package.
  • You may select a date, excluding Sundays, up to 10 days in the future. For certain services, pickup must be scheduled one business day prior to your desired shipment date.

Get Transit Time
  • Select this option to get the estimated transit times for your shipment.

Get Quick Quote
  • Select this option if you want to receive rate and transit time quotes based only on information entered in the Ship From/To and Shipment Information sections.
  • This option may not be available based on your shipment’s origin and destination countries.

Get Detailed Quote
  • Select this option to enter detailed Package and Shipment Details and additional service options for your rate and transit time quotes.
  • This option may not be available based on your shipment’s origin and destination countries.
  • This option is necessary to receive a quote for an international commodity shipment.
 
 


Package and Shipment Details


Account number
Select the Account Number for your shipment.

Enter Individual Package Information
This information is for pricing based on Standard List Rates or Retail Rates. Please see below for packaging considerations for FedEx One Rate.
  1. Quantity: Enter the number of packages in your shipment.
  2. Weight: Enter the weight of your shipment.
    • For FedEx Express® Freight Services shipments, you are required to enter skid weight instead of package weight. Please refer to the FedEx Service Guide for maximum weights allowed for your selected package type and service type. Weight limits may vary by country.
  3. Package Type: Select the Package Type from the drop-down menu.
  4. Dimensions: Enter the dimensions of your package if you selected Your Packaging as the package type.
    • The minimum package dimensions are 1 in or 1 cm for each dimension: length (L), width (W) and height (H).
    • When the dimensional weight of a shipment exceeds the actual weight, shipping charges are based on the shipment's dimensional weight. You can use the FedEx Measurement Tools to calculate your dimensional weight.
    • Declared or Carriage Value: The Declared or Carriage Value represents the maximum liability for FedEx.
      • Entering the value of your shipment helps FedEx provide the most accurate rate quote and transit time possible. Please refer to the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com for more details on declared value or carriage value limits and liabilities.
  5. FedEx One Rate Packaging considerations:
    • While weighing your package is not required for FedEx One Rate pricing, to qualify, FedEx Envelopes must weight 10 lbs. or less and FedEx Paks and Boxes must weigh 50 lbs. or less. If your package exceeds these weight limits, it will be rated based on FedEx Standard List Rates or FedEx Retail Rates as applicable. Please refer to the specific packaging for recommended weight limits.
    • Packaging that has been overfilled may result in re-rating based on FedEx Standard Rates.

If Schedule a Pickup is selected and origin is a residence, select “This is a residential pickup.”

To Add or Delete Rows
  • Click Add Row to add up to 10 rows, with a maximum 25 total packages per shipment.
  • To Delete a Row, highlight the row to be deleted and click Delete Row. Please note all blank rows must be deleted in order to proceed.

To Include Special Services
  • Select Add Special Services to choose additional FedEx service options for your shipment.
  • The available FedEx special services that display depend on your shipment’s origin, destination, and package and shipment details.
  • Alcohol: FedEx policy requires the identification of all alcoholic beverage shipments. If your shipment(s) contains an alcoholic beverage, select the Alcohol option under Add special services. If you are shipping a multiple piece shipment, refer to the Package and Shipment Details. Refer to www.fedex.com/wineshipping and your FedEx Alcohol Shipping Agreement for details on all Alcohol shipping requirements.
  • Please review the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com for special services information and delivery commitments.

Package Contents (International Shipments Only)
  1. Select Document as your Package Contents if your shipment contains personal or business letters with no commercial or customs value.
  2. Select Products/Commodities as your Package Contents if your shipment contains products or documents with a commercial or customs value. They are considered to be commodities by customs and may require additional import and/or export clearance time and documentation. Select Include duties & taxes estimate in rate quote if you want the results to include duties and taxes in your rate quote for products or documents.
    • For FedEx International Ground® shipments that include brokerage-inclusive service from the U.S. to Canada and Canada to the U.S., the payor of duties/taxes/fees will also be responsible for applicable CEF and CEF taxes.
    • For certain commodities, transit times may be extended due to required regulatory and customs clearance.
    • For additional information, please contact FedEx international services at 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339.
  3. Customs Value: The customs value is the true monetary value of your shipment. This value is used for customs clearance and may affect the transit time of your shipment. Please note a customs value of at least 1 must be entered.
  4. Please refer to the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com for more details on customs value limits and liabilities.

Continue
  • Click Continue to get your rate and transit time results.
  • For International Product/Commodity Shipments, the Product/Commodity Description section will display when you click Continue.
    • You must provide a description of the contents to get rates and transit times.

Product/Commodity Description
If you choose Products or Documents as your package contents in the Package and Shipment Details section, you must select a description of your contents for customs clearance.
  1. First, enter the description in the Search box and click Go, or select a category from the alphabetical listing.
  2. Select only one item from the Description list.
  3. Click Continue to display the rates and transit times. If multiple items have been chosen, your transit time estimate will be based on the last item selected only.
  4. For certain commodities, transit times may be extended due to required regulatory and customs clearance. For additional information, please contact FedEx International Customer Service at 1.800.247.4747.

Harmonized Code (International Shipments Only)
  1. Enter a Product Name and choose a Harmonized Code for your product. Harmonized Codes are used internationally to catalog and describe products for tariff and regulatory purposes. If you already know the product's Harmonized Code, just type the first few digits into the field, then click Get Code. If you don't know the Harmonized Code, type a descriptive product name and click Get Code.
  2. Select Save/update commodity profile to save a product commodity profile for future use.
    • Duties and taxes estimate is not available for destination countries that the fedex.com Global Trade Manager does not support.
    • If you prefer not to provide Harmonized Code information, your rate results will not include duties & taxes. To get an international rate quote without entering Harmonized Code information, click Get a Rate in the Please Note comment near the bottom of the harmonized code section.

FedEx Measurement Tools These tools help you calculate the appropriate values to enter for your shipment. Differences in actual weight, dimensions, and other factors may cause rate quotes to differ from the actual charges for your shipment.
  • The Measurement Converter Tool allows you to convert measurements from/to inches, feet, centimeters and meters and weights from/to pounds, grams and kilograms.
  • The Currency Converter Tool lets you to calculate foreign currency exchanges utilizing the Interbank rate as a guide.
 


Results


The Results section displays the estimated delivery date/time and rate quotes for each service available for your shipment.

Rate Another Package
  • Click Rate Another Package to return to the beginning of the Get Rates & Transit Times tool.
  • Click View/Print Rate Details to view rate details including base rates, additional charges for each service option. If you logged in with a FedEx account number, discounts applied to your account will display.
  • Click Print on the Details screen to print a summary of the rate results.

Schedule a Pickup (if selected in initial input screen)
Select the service you want to use, and click Schedule a Pickup to confirm your pickup location and enter the package information.

Create Your Shipment and Print a Shipping Label
Select the service you want to use. Click Ship to go to FedEx Ship Manager ®, complete your shipment information and print your label.

No warranties are extended and all warranties, including without limitation, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED, regarding this information. Any conflict between this information and the Automation Agreement, or transportation agreement between you and FedEx, or between this information and the FedEx Service Guide will be governed by the Automation Agreement, the transportation agreement and the FedEx Service Guide, in that order. Your use of this information constitutes your agreement to these terms.
