- FedEx® Fulfillment is a flexible, scalable fulfillment system that combines best of breed technology with an engineered network of physical warehouse and web order management providers. These are synchronized with the FedEx® transportation hubs to offer an end-to-end, turnkey, modular, portfolio of dynamic fulfillment services, including value added with a single point of contact. This allows the customer to improve supply chain performance, minimize capital investment and risk, plan with precision and insight, and redeploy assets and resources to core activities.

- How does FedEx® Fulfillment work?
- FedEx® Fulfillment works by providing enterprise visibility at SKU and sub-SKU levels, across multiple customers and geographical locations, with multiple sources of supply, and with inventory at rest or in motion, either inbound or outbound.
- Order information sent from FedEx® Net® to the Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the FedEx® fulfillment center.
- Order picked and packed in FedEx® Fulfillment Center. Shipping rate is calculated, tracking number is assigned and a shipping label is generated. Shipment status is available through FedEx® Net® for customer inquiries.
- Package picked up by FedEx®, scanned and delivered to end customer
- Merchant is billed for sales order
- If end customer decides to return the product, they can contact FedEx® for pickup, or drop it off at an authorized FedEx® location for prompt return to merchant.

- Do I have to change my EDI transmittal format to implement FedEx® Fulfillment?
- No. Your information is transferred to FedEx® in its existing format. The data is received, translated as necessary in our system, processed, and retransmitted to you in its original format.
- Can I use FedEx® Fulfillment and designate a specific air or ground carrier to transport my products?
- The value and cost savings of FedEx® Fulfillment are based in part on the integration of FedEx® transportation with the fulfillment services.
- In what ways does FedEx® Fulfillment improve my order management and execution?
- Order administration-Administers the complete order process, including pick, pack, and ship and kitting/configuration of special needs.
- Inventory visibility-Provides in-depth inventory accountability.
- Web order management-Enables companies to quickly set up value-added, user-friendly website that will keep customers informed and loyal.
- What is the web order management part of the Fulfillment solution?
- The Web Order Management is comprised of three components:
- Web Order Management consists of elements associated with the customer facing portions of the web site, such as web site design and content management, catalog management, online marketing and merchandising, and campaign marketing.
- Transaction management includes those activities associated with successful capturing and processing of the order, including payment processing, order confirmation, fraud prevention/site security, and order tracking.
- Customer Service and Support manages the "customer care" portion of the online experience and includes e-mail, chat, and call center support.

- What kinds of transportation services are available through FedEx® Fulfillment?
- FedEx® Fulfillment is integrated with all FedEx® operating company transportation services, including express and ground, and all fulfillment transportation in optimized through the FedEx® transportation system.
