Neiman Marcus Group Names FedEx Companies
Exclusive Carriers; FedEx Express, Ground and Freight Are Set to Serve

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2003--FedEx Corp. (NYSE:
FDX) announces that The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. (NYSE: NMG.A,
NMG.B), a premier, upscale American retailer for generations, has
selected three FedEx operating companies as exclusive providers of
shipping services for all Neiman Marcus divisions.
The three-year agreement will be "multi-modal," relying on
services provided by FedEx Express for domestic and international
express deliveries and by FedEx Ground. Neiman Marcus will also
utilize FedEx Freight for other freight services.
The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. includes the Specialty Retail
segment, which consists of 35 Neiman Marcus stores, two Bergdorf
Goodman stores and 14 clearance stores across the United States, and
Neiman Marcus Direct, the direct marketing and fulfillment business
that markets the Neiman Marcus, Horchow and Chef's Catalog brands.
These retailers offer upscale assortments of apparel, accessories,
jewelry, beauty and decorative home products to the affluent consumer.
The agreement includes shipments to stores from suppliers, to
retail stores from Neiman Marcus Group distribution centers, to
catalog customers from distribution centers, and to customers ordering
directly from retail stores.
The FedEx solutions Neiman Marcus will be using include:
