MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2002--FedEx Corp.
(NYSE:FDX) and the PGA TOUR have agreed to a multi-year sponsorship
making FedEx the "Official Shipping Company" of the PGA TOUR and
SENIOR PGA TOUR. FedEx also announced a four-year extension of the
FedEx St. Jude Classic.
"FedEx is completing its top-tier, strategic sports-marketing
portfolio with its first-ever sponsorship with the PGA TOUR," said
Brian Philips, FedEx vice president of marketing. "This new
relationship provides FedEx with an outstanding business opportunity
to expand shipping and supply-chain services to the PGA TOUR and its

greater visibility at these first-class sporting events."
The TOUR tournaments, official designations and rights, other VIP
golf benefits and hospitality opportunities enable FedEx to host
customers and extend the FedEx brand in multiple key markets. FedEx
will use its presence on the TOUR to reach potential customers, such
as TOUR sponsors and suppliers, and highlight its shared brand
attributes of reliability and precision through a strategic program
featuring the tag line, "The Most Reliable Player in the Game."
"The new FedEx relationship with the TOUR and its sponsorship
renewal for the FedEx St. Jude Classic aligns two of the world's most
prestigious brands," said Tom Wade, senior vice president and chief
marketing officer for the PGA TOUR. "With a worldwide, rigorous
schedule, the TOUR, its players and affiliates depend on the
world-class reliable services of FedEx to conduct their business each
week."
