( BW)(TN-FEDEX)(FDX) FedEx Teams With the U.S. Chamber of Commerce;
FedEx is Exclusive Provider of Shipping to Chamber Members
Business Editors
MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 28, 2001--FedEx Corp.
(NYSE:FDX), the world's premier global provider of transportation
services, will continue to provide members of the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce direct access to the broad portfolio of shipping solutions
offered by the FedEx family of companies.
FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,
the largest non-profit trade association in the world, have agreed to
a four-year extension of their contract making FedEx the exclusively
endorsed provider of shipping services for Chamber members. The
relationship began in 1999.
Members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that open a FedEx account
and use it for shipping are eligible for discounts that apply to FedEx
Express, including express freight and international services, and
FedEx Ground. The Chamber represents businesses and organizations of
every size, in every sector across the country.
"This strategic agreement aligns FedEx with one of the world's
leading resources for small businesses," said Brian Philips, FedEx
vice president of U.S. Marketing. "FedEx has long recognized the
potential of the small businesses of today to evolve into the big
businesses of tomorrow. We are committed to enabling their success."
Currently, a majority of FedEx customers are small businesses,
defined as those with fewer than 100 employees or less than $50
million in annual revenue. This is very similar to the membership of
the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
"Providing access to FedEx is one of the many ways we give Chamber
members a distinct, competitive advantage," said Jane Sanders, Chamber
vice president of business development. "FedEx allows our members - the
majority of which are small businesses - to compete in the global
arena by using an array of services ranging from Express shipping to
sophisticated web-based services."

business federation, representing more than three million businesses
and organizations. It has 2,800 state and local chambers, 830 business
