October 5, 2006 IMPORTANT: New Biosecurity Risk Levy
Effective 1st October 2006, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) has implemented a new MAF biosecurity risk screening levy of NZD3.38 (incl. GST).
This is a new fee to be charged on all imported goods with values over NZD400 and which require a formal customs clearance. The new levy will be collected by the NZ Customs service and all the funds will go directly into supporting MAF's biosecurity risk screening work.
