Printable Version 2008 Harris Reputation Survey confirms FedEx commitment to excellence
FedEx Express consistently strives to place its customers at the heart of all its operations by providing them with excellence of service, at every level and at all times. This long-term commitment to customer satisfaction has been officially recognised by FedEx being ranked in the top category in a recent study of businesses carried out by the internationally recognised Harris Interactive Reputation QuotientTM (RQ) market survey.For the ninth consecutive year Harris Interactive’s global survey rated FedEx’s reputation for quality of service as being in the good-excellent category. In addition, out of the sixty companies covered by the survey, FedEx achieved fourth place in the practices highest ethical standards category and seventh place in the highest trust category. FedEx was also ranked in twelfth position as being both a good company to work for and as an organisation with good employees.
The RQ survey polls more than 20,000 consumers via online and phone interviews to first identify the sixty most visible companies and then to rank them based on their reputation in six different categories: Emotional Appeal, Products and Services, Social Responsibility, Vision and Leadership, Workplace Environment and Financial Performance.
Amongst other findings, the survey demonstrated a strong statistical correlation between a company’s overall rating and the likelihood that customers will purchase, recommend or invest in its products and services. Another finding highlighted the fact that the ratings of the most visible companies have remained relatively stable, confirming the fact that customers consistently support firms which provide outstanding service.
