COMPLETION OF AIR WAYBILL
1. Amendment of existing air waybill
- Any amendment or addition to the information entered on the air waybill by the carrier subsequent to the initial issue must be made on a Cargo Correction Advice and on all remaining copies of the air waybill.
- FedEx Express in making such an amendment or addition must identify itself by inserting its IATA Carrier code and the IATA 3-letter Airport or City code of the place where such an amendment or addition is made as close as possible to the amended or added item, without obliterating any other detail.
2. Issuance of new air waybill
- When a consignment is returned to the shipper because of non-delivery, a new air waybill must be issued for the returning carriage and must have the original air waybill number inserted in the "Accounting Information" box.
- All charges which should have been, but were not, collected from the original consignee must be specified in the applicable boxes on the returning air waybill as "Charges Collect."
